Econometric Modelling of Natural Gas Consumption in the Electricity Sector in the Midwest Europe Region

The thesis deals with econometric modeling of natural gas consumption within the electricity industry for the purpose of electricity production. The first part of the thesis focuses on theoretical foundations, describing the electricity market and econometric modeling, with a particular focus on regression analysis. In the analytical part, this knowledge is applied to the selection and adjustment of potential factors. As part of the proposed solution, a regression model is constructed that describes natural gas consumption in electricity production as a function of selected factors. The predictive ability of the model is verified using data from a testing period.

Diploma thesis deals with factors influencing sales volume in energy industry. The main objective of the thesis is to identify factors influencing sales volume across the whole energy industry. The partial objective of the thesis is to define factors influencing sales volume of the company ČEZ and assess the impact of the financial crisis related to energy industry in Czech Republic. The regression model showed dependency of sales from industrial activity on GDP, export of goods and services, unemployment rate and temperature. Additionally, dependency of sales ČEZ company on installed capacity, sale of heat and amount of workers was proved. It is suggested to develop science and research in energy industry.
Quantification of consumer loans development in the Czech republic

This thesis describes consumer loans in the Czech Republic in the period from 1993 to 2014. Theoretical part of the thesis begins with a description of most known economical theories, that relate to consumer loans and is afterwards supplemented by description of related macroeconomical indicators, accompanied by the description of consumer theory. Practical part defines the economic and econometric models, both of which are used for quantification of the dependence of consumer loans on various macroeconomical indicators in the Czech Republic. The model is subjected to economical, econometrical and statistical verifications, in order to be applied and used for potencial forecast.
Ekonometrické modelování pracovní migrace v rámci České republiky

Presented diploma thesis examines the issue of labor migration in the Czech Republic. The first part focuses on the theoretical background and basic concepts related to the labor migration. Above all there are described individual models used to explain the working migration in different countries. The next part focuses on the actual development of the labor migration in the Czech Republic. First, there is described the development of labor migration in the Czech Republic between years 2000 and 2011. Subsequently, on the basis of statistical data, is described a model of labor migration in the Czech Republic. The conclusion summarizes the impact of immigration on the Czech economy and on the labor market.
